About

About Me

Moving from California to Arkansas in the late 60s I started my career in Little Rock as a Flight Instructor and charter pilot for a small FBO. In the early 70s I moved to Jonesboro accepting a job with a manufacturing plant as a corporate pilot flying mostly King Airs and Lear Jets. Leaving there in 2005 I became self-employed doing contract flying mostly in King Airs and Citations.

Along the way I have always maintained my CFI to keep up my skills in training and still do a fair amount of flight training. In 1991 I was appointed as a DPE, (Pilot Examiner). I have held this position since then doing Pilot Exams for Sport, Private Pilot, Commercial Pilot, Instrument rating, ATP, CFI and Multiengine ratings for most light twins.

I am also a FASTEAM safety counselor and promote and encourage participation in the FAA Wings Program

Having acquired my A&P in 1971 I have had a somewhat parallel career in Aviation Maintenance doing maintenance and inspections on the various planes I fly.

This has led me into several opportunities to work with various Part 135 operations as a Director of Maintenance and given me the experience to learn how to develop various FAA manuals, primarily Manuals for RVSM and MELs.

I currently reside in Randolph County Ar. and have an office in Pocahontas (M70).

I prefer to keep most of my activities in Arkansas since I am most familiar with people, activities and the FAA FSDO here.
